OUR FOUNDER - Ana Pesce
Born in Panama City, Panama, Ana Pesce comes from a lineage of science, nature, and healing. The daughter of a self-taught naturalist, conservationist, and biochemist, and sister to a university biology professor, Ana’s passion for wellness and the environment was nurtured from an early age. Her grandfather introduced her to botany and the power of natural remedies—wisdom that continues to shape her approach to skincare today.
Ana studied Social Work at the University of Panama during a time of profound social and political change. She later trained and worked as a surgical dental assistant, gaining hands-on experience with periodontists, oral surgeons, and endodontists in both Houston, Texas, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. These early experiences deeply informed her clinical eye and methodical approach to treatment planning.
As a Master Esthetician with over 15 years of experience, Ana brings a rare blend of science, holistic healing, and advanced skin technology to every client. She specializes in creating personalized protocols that integrate nature-based remedies—such as herbal tea infusions, colloidal oatmeal, calendula, arnica, seaweed, and resveratrol—with cutting-edge tools like microdermabrasion, lymphatic stimulation, and LED therapy. Her work addresses a wide range of skin concerns, including rosacea, acne, inflammation, and hyperpigmentation.
FURTHER EXPERIENCE
Ana’s product philosophy is rooted in Ayurvedic medicine, natural ingredients, and ancient diagnostic techniques from Chinese medicine. She is known for balancing modern innovation with traditional wisdom to help clients achieve radiant, resilient skin.
Throughout her career, Ana has worked alongside respected professionals and institutions, including Body Works by Diane, Skin Plus Center under Matilde Ingenito, Total Serenity Spa, Soma Salon with Dr. T. Blair, and The Lang Klinic and Institute under the direction of Lillian Lang, R.N.
Today, Ana is the proud owner of Ana Pesce Advanced Skin Technology, located in the historic Medical Arts Building in Center City Philadelphia. Her warm, thoughtful approach and deep expertise have earned her a devoted clientele and a respected place in the city's wellness community

Co-FOUNDER - Marie Patterson
Marie is a licensed esthetician, clinical skincare specialist, and proud partner at Ana Pesce Advanced Skin Technology. Known by her clients as The Fresh Face Alchemist, Marie combines her deep roots in clinical medicine with a holistic, intuitive approach to skincare.
A Philadelphia native, Marie received her esthetics training from Queen Beauty Institute and has been licensed since 2018. Before entering the beauty industry, she trained and worked as a surgical technologist, serving as lead assistant to world-renowned surgeon Dr. S. Brown and as a tissue recovery specialist for the Gift of Life Donor Program. This experience in the medical field gave her a unique foundation for precision, care, and understanding the human body.
Marie joined Ana Pesce’s practice in 2008 and, over time, became a key partner in the business. Under Ana’s mentorship, she studied herbalism, energy healing, and advanced skin modalities—developing a personal skincare philosophy rooted in the belief that true skin healing begins with how we feel as whole people.
